2. The Competition
These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to all Standard Competitions listed on the Promoter’s website at www.ultimatecomps.co.uk (the “Website”).

In the event of any conflict between these T&Cs and information on the Website (including advertisements or promotional material), these T&Cs shall take precedence.

To have a chance of winning a prize, each entrant (“Entrant”) must answer a skill-based question or solve a problem set by the Promoter (the “Competition Question”).

Each Competition may require payment of an entry fee. Where an easy or multiple-choice question is used, a free entry route is also available (see Clause 3.10 below).

The Promoter does not currently offer “Instant Win” style competitions. If introduced in the future, these T&Cs may be updated accordingly.

3. How to Enter
Each Standard Competition will have an Opening Date and Closing Date displayed on the Website. All times and dates referred to are based on the time zone in London, England.

The Promoter may change the Opening Date and/or Closing Date if absolutely necessary and will display the new details on the Website. The Promoter will not extend the Closing Date merely to sell more entries.

All entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than the specified Closing Date. Any entries received after this will be disqualified automatically, and no refunds will be given.

The maximum number of entries for each Competition will be stated on the Website. Entries may be limited if the maximum is reached.

Each Entrant may only submit the number of entries permitted for that particular Competition (as stated on the Website). Excess entries may be disqualified at the Promoter’s discretion.

To enter a Standard Competition via paid entry:

Go to the Website and select the Competition you wish to enter.
Answer the Competition Question.
Select the required number of entries and proceed to checkout.
Log in or register if not already logged in.
Agree to these T&Cs and complete your purchase.
Payment Methods: The Promoter may allow various payment gateways (credit/debit card, etc.). Specific terms of use for any payment gateway you choose apply in addition to these T&Cs.

Once your online entry is received, the Promoter will send a confirmation email where possible.

The Promoter does not accept responsibility for entries which are lost, delayed, or not successfully completed due to technical faults or other issues beyond its reasonable control.

By purchasing entries (and/or submitting a free entry), you confirm that:

You are eligible to enter the Competition.
You are entering into a contract with the Promoter under these T&Cs.
You agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
Free Entry Route (Postal):

Send your entry by pre-paid first- or second-class post to the Promoter at the address above (or another address specified on the Website).
Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted and will not be entered into the draw.
Each free entry must include:
The specific Competition name you wish to enter,
Your full name and date of birth,
Your postal address,
A contact telephone number and email address,
Your answer to the Competition Question.
Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.
You may make multiple free entries up to any limit set by the Promoter, but each entry must be submitted in a separate envelope. Bulk entries in a single envelope will be counted as a single entry.
Your free entry must arrive before the Closing Date to be included in the draw. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
If the number of entries reaches a cap before your free entry is received, you will not be entered into that Competition.
If a Competition is priced at a lesser value than standard postage, multiple entries may be credited in proportion to the cost of second-class postage. Details will be stated on the Website if this applies.
Important: You must have a registered account on the Website to have a free entry processed; the personal details on your posted entry must match your account details.
4. Choosing a Winner
All Entrants who correctly answer the Competition Question will be placed into a random draw (the “Draw”), conducted as soon as reasonably practicable (and in any event within 7 days) after the Closing Date.

Each entry (paid or free) will receive a unique entry number. The list of names and corresponding entry numbers may be published on the Website and may be visible during the draw.

If you wish to opt out of having your name published or visible, contact the Promoter via email at enquiries@ultimatecomps.co.uk at least 48 hours before the draw takes place.

The random Draw will produce one winner (“Winner”), unless the Competition specifies multiple winners.

For help with entries, email us at enquiries@ultimatecomps.co.uk.

5. UC Tokens (Loyalty Scheme)
The Promoter may award “UC Tokens” in various circumstances, for example:

As part of promotional campaigns,
For spending on Competitions (e.g., “1 Token per £1 spent,” if so indicated on the Website),
As a referral bonus for introducing new customers,
As a prize or gift at the Promoter’s discretion.
Using UC Tokens:

1 UC Token typically discounts the entry price by £0.01 (1 penny).
UC Tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any free entry route and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Expiry: UC Tokens must be used within 12 months of the date they are credited to your Website account. After this, any unused UC Tokens will expire. The Promoter may send reminders but is under no obligation to do so.

UC Tokens have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for real currency.

Prizes are subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

The Promoter makes no representations or warranties about the Prize’s condition, quality, or value beyond what is stated on the Website.

The property may be subject to restrictions or covenants (listed on the title),
If the Winner chooses the property, they must cooperate to finalize the transfer within 90 days. Otherwise, the Promoter may, at its discretion, withdraw the offer of the property and award the cash alternative instead.
8. Winners
The Promoter’s decision is final.

After the random draw, the Promoter will attempt to contact the Winner using the phone number or email address provided at entry within 7 days of the draw (“Draw Date”).

If the Winner does not respond or claim the Prize within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternate Entrant.
The Winner’s name and ticket/entry number may be published on the Website. The Promoter may also send these details to anyone who requests them to show a valid award took place.

If you object to your details being published, please email enquiries@ultimatecomps.co.uk prior to the Closing Date. The Promoter must still provide information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required.

The Promoter may forfeit the Prize if it reasonably believes the Winner is ineligible or has violated these T&Cs.

9. Claiming the Prize
The Prize must be claimed personally by the Winner. No third-party claims are allowed unless agreed in writing by the Promoter.

If your contact details change after you enter, you must update your account on the Website or notify the Promoter at enquiries@ultimatecomps.co.uk.

Cash Prizes will be transferred to the Winner’s nominated bank account once eligibility is confirmed. The Winner may be required to verify they are the account holder.

The Promoter does not accept responsibility if the Winner is unable to take up the Prize.

If the Winner fails to claim the Prize or cannot be contacted, the Promoter reserves the right not to award the Prize or to award it to another Entrant.

10. Limitation of Liability
Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter (and related parties) will not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death resulting from taking up a Prize, except where caused by the negligence of the Promoter (or its agents).

The Promoter accepts no liability for:

Entries not received due to technical or other issues,
Unauthorized access, theft, or alterations of entries,
Technical malfunctions or failures affecting the Website or draw process,
Inaccessibility or unavailability of network services.
11. Data Protection and Publicity
By entering, you consent to the Promoter (and its agents or suppliers) handling personal information for the purpose of administering the Competition as set out in these T&Cs and per the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available on the Website).

The Promoter may use your name, image, and county of residence to announce the Winner. You may opt out of publicity by notifying the Promoter prior to the Closing Date (though the Promoter must still provide certain details to regulators if required).

If you are the Winner, you may be asked for additional identification or information to confirm eligibility and facilitate Prize transfer. If you decline, you may forfeit the Prize without refund.

Under data protection laws, you can request that the Promoter not contact you or delete your data. However, doing so during a Competition may mean the Promoter cannot notify you if you win.

12. General
The Promoter may amend these T&Cs from time to time. The latest version will be posted on the Website.

If the Promoter believes there has been a breach of these T&Cs, it may disqualify you from participating.

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend a Competition if events beyond its control make this unavoidable. In such cases, entry fees may be refunded.

No Minimum Number of Entries: The Promoter will not extend or cancel a Competition solely for lack of entries; the draw will still occur, and the Prize will be awarded unless otherwise stated.

Competitions on the Website are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. Entrants agree Facebook is not liable for any aspect of the Competitions.

These T&Cs are governed by English law, and Entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (with the option for Scottish or Northern Irish residents to bring claims in their home courts).

It is recommended to print a copy of these T&Cs and retain for your records.
